EU exit

Please note that, in the event of the UK leaving the EU without a negotiated agreement, some CAA website content and application forms may continue to carry the EASA logo or reference the EU or EASA rather than the UK CAA in the short term. These will be updated in due course following the UK’s departure from the EU. In the meantime, the guidance provided and the application forms accessed via the CAA website portal will continue to be valid.

Title:Section 16 advice to the Secretary of State for Transport on extending the length of the notice provisions for termination in the Air Traffic Services licence
Description:In Autumn 2015, we provided advice to the Secretary of State for Transport on issues relating to the extension of the Air Traffic Services licence notice period. This followed a formal request from the Department on 22 June 2015 under section 16 of the Civil Aviation Act 1982 that the CAA provides further evidence and analysis to support a decision on potential changes to the duration and/or structure of the Air Traffic Services licence. Our advice, together with additional financial analysis undertaken by consultants Europe Economics, is published below.
