UK Civil Aviation Regulations

These are published by the CAA on our UK Regulations pages. EU Regulations and EASA Access Guides published by EASA no longer apply in the UK. Our website and publications are being reviewed to update all references. Any references to EU law and EASA Access guides should be disregarded and where applicable the equivalent UK versions referred to instead.

CAP 736 is published to provide policy and supporting guidance for commercial organisations and individuals planning to operate directed light, fireworks, toy balloons and sky lanterns in UK airspace. Information on notification procedures and CAA application forms are contained within the document; provided event information will enable the aviation community to properly assess the impact of any such proposed activity and take appropriate measures to mitigate any dangers to flight safety.
