UK Civil Aviation Regulations

These are published by the CAA on our UK Regulations pages. EU Regulations and EASA Access Guides published by EASA no longer apply in the UK. Our website and publications are being reviewed to update all references. Any references to EU law and EASA Access guides should be disregarded and where applicable the equivalent UK versions referred to instead.

This Policy Statement (PS) is intended to provide guidance to ANSPs on action required to truncate existing conventional, and certain RNAV1 Standard Instrument Departure (SID) procedures where a sponsor of a SID, or the associated ANSP determines environmental benefits can be achieved by reducing the length of a SID. Also included is a template which should be used by sponsors when making a submission to the CAA.
