UK Civil Aviation Regulations

These are published by the CAA on our UK Regulations pages. EU Regulations and EASA Access Guides published by EASA no longer apply in the UK. The purpose of this safety notice is to remind the owners and operators of Ex-Military Jets that they ensure, where the ejection seats have been disabled, the alternative method of emergency egress has been incorporated in the pilot information, the procedure has been verified and that all the required equipment is maintained in a serviceable condition.

Version 2 of this Safety Notice has been published to add clarification. Where AAES systems have been rendered inert (e.g. by removal of time-expired pyrotechnic cartridges), an aircraft level modification must be approved.
