Title:Operation of 'Permit-to-Fly' ex-military aircraft on the UK register
Description:This CAP specifies the operational requirements that an applicant for the issue of a Permit-to-Fly for an ex-military aircraft is required to meet. The maintenance requirements are set out in BCAR Chapters A8-23 and A8-25. Significantly updated requirements and expanded guidance for operators of ex-military permit-to-fly aircraft. Reflects recent changes to ex-military aircraft regulation and CAP403 on air displays, as well as revisions to CAP1395 Safety Standards Acknowledgment & Consent. Also cross-references other CAPs to shorten the document and avoid duplication.

Amendment 1 to Edition 8 published in September set out requirements and guidance for aircraft intending to exceed the airspace speed limit (>250 knots below 10,000 feet), reflecting amendments to Standardised European Rules of the Air.

This Amendment 2 incorporates an alteration to the Official Record Series 9 document referred to in Chapter 5 and Appendix F. The red underlining from Amendment 1 has been retained for clarity.
