EU exit

Please note that, in the event of the UK leaving the EU without a negotiated agreement, some CAA website content and application forms may continue to carry the EASA logo or reference the EU or EASA rather than the UK CAA in the short term. These will be updated in due course following the UK’s departure from the EU. In the meantime, the guidance provided and the application forms accessed via the CAA website portal will continue to be valid.

Title:Pilot Support Programme – Guidance for Commercial Air Transport (CAT) Operators
Description:The psychological wellbeing and positive mental health of commercial pilots is of fundamental importance to safe Commercial Air Transport (CAT) operations. CAT operators should facilitate access to support from a peer support volunteer for their pilots in a just culture environment and to other forms of support.

This guidance outlines a framework for a CAT operator’s Pilot Support Programme (PSP), which should form part of their Safety Management System, in accordance with amendments to Regulation (EU) No 965/2012 in force from 14 August 2018.
